Antonietta Niro joined the firm in 1997, after
obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a graduate
degree in Accounting from Concordia University. She is an accomplished
professional with a broad range of competencies and enjoys the personal
feel and collegial approach of Roll Harris, where partners work together
in the best interest of the client.
As an audit partner, she is able to bring to small
businesses, larger companies and individuals a wide spectrum of services
including auditing, tax and general consulting, internal control
evaluations, general management and operational consulting, tax
assessment analysis, recruiting consulting, estate planning and personal
tax planning.
Increasingly, Antonietta is bringing the benefit of
her accounting and management skills to small public companies for which
she acts as a consultant and comptroller, providing journal entry
approvals and assistance with financial reporting, quarterly statements
and annual reports. In her role as consultant, she helps clients
understand the importance and impact of changes in audit and disclosure
regulations.
As one of the first three women to be appointed
partner at RHA, she is particularly proud of her role in paving the way
for others at the firm and honoured to be part of this milestone in
RHA’s history.
Thoughts on learning opportunities and breaking
barriers
At Roll Harris we have the opportunity to do
different things and learn various aspects of the client’s business. It
really is bottom-up learning. It is always interesting to see how we can
help clients overcome obstacles or assist in turning their businesses
around. When I started at the firm, women in senior positions never
thought they could make partner. Today, we see how important diversity
is in terms of our client mix. We’re breaking down
barriers.
