Born in Mauritius, an island in the
southwest Indian Ocean, Chris Ong Tone came to Canada in 1974 and
obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in
1980. The year after, he joined the firm and obtained his graduate
diploma from McGill University. Chris, who became a partner in 1988,
brings the firm a traditional mix of good audit experience and a solid
tax background.
His areas of specialization include
audits, taxation, tax planning, general auditing and financial
statements. Working with other audit partners in the firm, Chris
provides support services to a number of accounts in industries such as
food distribution, service, real estate and retail.
In the
course of his work, Chris is confronted with any number of issues
requiring his expertise such as personnel evaluation, tax issues,
bank financing, business diversification, investments and accounting
software packages. With 20 years' experience behind him, Chris is
confident he can tackle any challenge.
Thoughts on
service
Chris believes in
the importance of lasting client relationships and in the need to
provide them with a high quality of service. "I appreciate any
challenge which allows me to bring the client the highest level of
service."
A
devoted family man with four children, Chris is keenly interested in
athletics at the coaching level. He coaches soccer for the Lac-St-Louis
elite league and was president of the Dollard Hockey Association.
