Norman Freedman acts as the firm's managing partner and general audit partner. Qualifying as a
chartered accountant in 1968, he was an assistant lecturer in taxation
at McGill University from 1968 to 1972 and became an RHA partner in
1971. Certified as an Accredited Litigation Accountant, Norman
brings to the firm a pragmatic approach and valued expertise as a sound
business advisor while offering extensive experience in litigation
support.
Mr. Freedman works with a highly
diversified clientele covering a range of issues including IPO
preparation (Initial Public Offerings), cross-border transactions with
U.S. corporations, acquisitions and mergers of companies, succession
planning and estate planning, business start-up and ongoing financing.
In addition to his corporate clients, Norman has directed the auditing for
large charitable organizations such as the YMHA, one of Montréal's most prestigious Jewish
associations. The diversity of his clientele has
enabled him to acquire in-depth knowledge of a wide range of industries
including manufacturing, distribution, service, retail, real estate and
financial services.

Norman is proud of
his clients' success and the fact he can work with them as a team. After
more than 44 years with RHA, he believes that the firm's high
professional standing is due to an atmosphere that has allowed both
partners and staff to pursue their interests and develop their

Norman is a member
of the Accredited Litigation Accounting and Valuation Institute and was
an accredited member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business
Valuators. He was a board member of the United Talmud Torah (1978-87)
and continues to raise funds for the Combined Jewish Appeal. In
addition to community activities, Norman enjoys golf and winter sports.
A devoted family
man, Norman takes considerable pride in his three children, their
spouses and his five grandchildren. His son
